Our Political Foundations

Our Vision

We strive for a society in which the well-being of all living beings and the whole earth is realised. This society is based on a changed consciousness of people. They act from the intelligence of the heart.

Our Mission

We bring integral awareness to the people and to politics.

Integral Politics

Originally coined by the philosopher Jean Gebser and further developed by Ken Wilber in particular, the term “integral” has many facets today. It stands for a new cultural epoch as well as for a conscious way of life.
For us, “integral” means
  • integration and equivalence of the four levels of being
  • identification with consciousness
  • togetherness, everything is connected
Our political self-image
  • We do not represent interests of specific groups of society. We are taking a universal perspective instead.
  • We strive for a culture of sharing, solidarity and the dignity of people and the environment.
  • We are committed to the well-being of all people – regardless of ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, language or social status.
  • We protect the needs of all living creatures, animals and plants.
  • For us, politics is service to society that co-creates rules for the coexistence of people and their relationships with the world around them. Those rules are then evaluated by the population.
  • We establish our political stance from a vision of a ideal future of an integral society.
  • We practise not knowing – and thus staying curious.
We promote a change in awareness
The core of our work is to promote the transformation of people’s consciousness in the direction of decreasing egocentricity and increasing cooperation, openness and wholeness. People take radical responsibility for shaping their lives.

Climate, Energy & Natural Resources

The issue of climate change is THE major challenge for our and all future generations. Increasingly, people are discovering the infinite immaterial wealth that helps us to preserve the limits of natural resources – to cultivate a new culture of self-aware and world-conscious living.

IP climate policy and concrete proposals for action are based on the Climate Master Plan of the Climate Alliance Switzerland, of which IP is a member – template to ask your own pension fund so that everyone can make a concrete commitment.

IP encourages swapping, sharing, repairing, decluttering, slowing down .

Migration

Holistic migration policy encompasses protection, reception and integration as well as the prevention of migration causes that lead to hardship. It also takes into account the fears of the local population.

Everyone can create opportunities for encounters. See three experience reports, www.asyland.ch as well as our presentation on integral work with asylum seekers.

Peace

Together with the Integral Peacebuilding Foundation , we want to give more weight to peace – we want to deepen the Swiss peace tradition of peace, serving the world wherever possible. We therefore call for

Fostering domestic peace competence – through additional and also institutionalized peace education for all ages, increased peace research as well as increasingly coordinated Swiss peace cooperation.

Fostering peacebuilding abroad – through increased mediation work, better coordinated peace missions and a slow transformation of the military from security to peacebuilding.

Peacebuilding should be strengthened at cantonal, national and global level.
