Veilleuse

The Veilleuse (French) means: Night light.

The Veilleuse is a group of active members of the IP. It is a spiritual center for the IP and meets regularly with the aim of nourishing and grounding the Swiss-wide network of Integral Politics through discussion and meditation.

We do this out of the conviction that, in addition to mental and rational considerations, the intelligence of the heart must also be consulted in order to develop sustainable political decisions.

The Veilleuse considers it important that the connection between people (horizontal connection) and the connection between people and the spiritual level (vertical connection) is balanced and continues to develop.

The Veilleuse helps to strengthen the movement by making these two relationships visible through its presence in beautiful, powerful places in Switzerland’s nature.

The Veilleuse does this as follows:

  • keeping a watchful eye on the projects in the various working groups and takes up their concerns in the meditations
  • meeting about six times a year to hike to places of power, meditate and exchange ideas
  • organizing “Days of Awareness and Silence” as a time-out to which every member of the IP is invited and welcome
  • She is prepared to take part in working groups, meetings, discussions and assemblies by accompanying and supporting them with introductory and closing remarks and by holding the space with her presence.

In particular, it is a guiding principle that supports Veilleuse and that she carries forward for integral policy:

May we work with the intelligence of the heart and co-create integral politics for the benefit of all beings and contribute to the healing of the earth.

This guiding principle succinctly expresses the main intention of Integral Politics. Since its foundation, it has been the guiding principle to which we always return by reciting it at the end of each meditation walk.
